UDM Series
Way back in October 2001, Ralphis had a plan. A plan to actually release something. He contacted me on AIM with a message along the lines of "You want to help me out on this? I'm making a DM wad." I agreed, and whipped out two levels in a period of 2 hours (map02 and map03). The rest is history.

On January 1st, approx 12:17am PA time, udm1.zip was uploaded to the /idgames archive. It contained 18 levels, and two 'parody' levels (map31 and map32). It was a hit within the ZDaemon community, impressing the likes of Erik Alm and Clan OS, and inspiring mappers such as Chronohunter and Sazabi to create the TLSDM series.

Shortly after that, plans for UDM2 had started. Although UDM2 production took a major dive in the middle of 2002, it was completed in March 2003, featuring twelve levels and another two secret levels. UDM2 appeared to be even more successful than UDM1, which UDM1's success had already shocked deathz0r and Ralphis. UDM2 features levels created by Ralphis, deathz0r and Chrono, although at least another ten levels were created for UDM2, but never finished or accepted. Those are all featured in UDM2old.wad in their untouched states.

At the very start of 2004, Ralphis and myself began plans on creating UDM3. Unlike UDM2, UDM3 boasts a large variety of UD members, such as Alexmax, Earthquake, Mephisto, Doomraider, Liam and even Harvey. UDM3 was released on Christmas Day 2004, although MAP16 is incomplete. Plans for UDM4 and UDCTF have started, but there has only been progress for UDCTF at this point (as of May 2005).
