UAC Resurrection
February 14, 2001. A day to remember in my life. I downloaded EDGE to check out some of the ports which I hadn't downloaded yet, and discovered it had one of the best Port features ever - DDF. DDF stands for Data Definition File, and with it, you can create new weapons, new monsters, animated textures, etc. The first new thing I created was a Chaingun Marine, which is comparable to the Chaingun Guy, but with more health and a grey Marine suit. The next thing I did was a Rocket Launcher Marine, which featured a Marine with a Rocket Launcher, which did half the explosion damage, and quarter the direct hit damage. They still exist in UAC Resurrection today.
After that, I started adding new enemies at an alarming rate, and in a few days, I released UAC Resurrection v0.1, known at the time as "Deathwarrior's EDGE Add-on". Not exactly a good name, isn't it? It contained a modified MAP01, which had shown off all the new monsters and weapons. Unfortunately, I don't have v0.10 anymore.
A few days later, I released v0.12, which included some bug fixes and a few new stuff. The real deal had just started.
People who I talked to on IRC where willing to give me a helpful hand on UACRess, submitting a fair amount of levels in. I believe that I only rejected one, but that didn't matter. A month after v0.12, v0.2 Pre-Release was released. It promised a shitload of new weapons, new monsters, and other stuff. There were no levels that were ready to be in the package, yet, but I included a Wadauthor Config file, so people can make their own levels with the UACRess additions in it.
I got grounded for a month, and UACRess work went to a halt. I was allowed back on my comps on my birthday, June 6th. That day, I released UACRess v0.2, which included 6 levels, some which were rushed and incomplete. I just wanted to release something for my 'Welcome back'.
I have also uploaded the latest UACRess Beta, which has over 20 levels, more weapons, more enemies, more action.
